I was very disappointed when i heard this bad news honestly they should bring the men's basketball program back to the university's gym it would save a lot more money than them cutting the wrestling team. Why let them play at the coliseum when they can't win half of their season games. NEW AD ! |

Not only is she cutting the wrestling program, but it is not for moneyâ¦the money is being diverted to other athletic programs that they have an invested interest in (programs that she says puts UNCG on a national map). I thought that you only division one program, a major tournament, winning the conference last season and taking second this session was pretty bigâ¦.no???? |

I wonder if we could see a cartoon of UNC-Greensboro's athletic director talking with local corporate sales directors after the wrestling community pulls out of the Southern Scuffle and Super 32? There's a humorous wrestling cartoon that inspired this thought, now featured on FloWrestling: |

I agree we should boycott Scuffle and super 32 if the choose to stay in Greensboro, AD's need to realize if you back it wrestling is a revenue sportI agree, if head coaches back the sport, which I'm sure they all do, they will uproot and try to take their guys to midlands. There is no way I would want to give that University a penny if I knew it wasn't going to help the wrestling program. |

Seems like the money generated by the big tournaments they host could help sway the AD's decision. I think their best bet is for the Community and businesses that profit from the tournaments to put a little pressure on her decision. Her decision is financially based, so you need to give her a financially based reason to change her mind. |

One of the best things you can do is e-mail the president of the school and tell them they will no longer receive donations from you your family and everyone you come in contact with. I sent that e-mail to the president of ASU and I am sure my response and thousands of others and sunkist financial support enabled them to bring wrestling back. The problem with that is there just aren't enough wrestling fans who contribute real money to make much of a difference. |

I go to UNCG and I love wrestling but it disgusts me to my stomach to know the reasons why the program is being dropped. I will not support anything with UNCG anymore, what is retarded in my opinion is that UNCG is still interested in trying to hold Southern Scuffles and other things that will generate revenue but cutt off a mere 300k annually to "try and save money" . Even worse when they hold UNCG Basketball games at the coliseum which costs a total season a little over a million when the Basketball teams winning percentage is under .40% |

Well said, Coach Shifflet. Please don't forget about UNCG, which you helped increasingly put on the wrestling scene's map. |
