I am not an "Alton" fan, just a fan of the sport. Zach is a great wrestler who lacks heart in my mind. Watch his matches after the Alton one, which he won because Alton let him wrestle his match, the sit back, wait, do little, and squeak by style. Alton lacked his usual in your face, aggressive style, thus Zach one. Back to my point, the next two matches, Zach went out limp and holding back, almost as if 8th place was enough for him. Hard to believe he once one multiple PA state medals. I do hope he finds his old form and works for more next season.

Kemmerer was one of the best HS wrestlers anywhere at the time. Could have wrestled anywhere...the realty of D1 wrestling is anything can happen. Kid could have walked away so many times but didn't. Kemmerer won fair and square and I'm an Alton fan...This is the nature of the NCAA tourney.

Not true. He took more shots than Alton. (Zach took about 2, Alton took roughly 1/2 a shot.) He does not lack heart. The kid has battled with injuries his whole career; it takes heart just to keep wrestling.

And I'm a PSU fan!! I love Alton. But don't bash Zach for a great senior year and AA status.

I also wanted to mention this: Class act. From what I can see, this young man is a model of sportsmanship and discipline in behavior on and off the mat. Kudos!

Very happy to see this young man break on through. I've enjoyed watching his steady progress over the past four years. That sweet sweep single is one of the best I've seen.

Zack has been around the block. TOP notch HS guy enters D1, coaching changes, injuries, hot new freshman fresh off the PA circuit and finally teaches the new guy a lesson. Amazing. He should be proud!

ps. I think those Alton boys will be back with a vengeance so look out!

This guy is just a pleasure, we have been watching him for years in D-1 Pa. High School and now to see him get AA is downright outstanding! Congrats Zach!!! Go take a look at Pops face.
