it wasagood match between taylor and jenkins up to the point of the cradle... you can not possibly believe taylor will not be a contender next year at 165. He is one of the best freshmen in the country and will make his mark when he wins ncaas next year

I have always liked Bubba. If I were a coach, I could never understand a guy who has so much more athleticism and ability and hardly uses it. Bubba was all over the place, but I fault that to how Sunderland ran the show while there. Bubba made finals 2x now hardly being pushed by coaches. He found the better home at ASU where they just pretty much embraced his easy go lucky perspective on life.

There is no doubt Jenkins has more ability than Taylor and it showed in the NCAA Final. Taylor has great mechanics and feel, but when it comes to Olympics, Bubba might be one of the few in the world who could hang with the best out there. Taylor would ge thrashed in Freestyle in International wrestling.

Great win by Bubba throwing an athletic suicide cradle and packing him. Taylor will have some trouble next year at 165. No way he beats Howe. Maybe Howe bumps to 174. Asper and Caldwell have the ability to pin Taylor also.
wow. you guys have been waiting for DT to fail. can't appreciate how much excitement he puts out there. just disappointing really

If Taylor moves to 165 next year, he'll have to contend with Caldwell, Howe, and several other strong guys. Taylor's great, but I don't see him getting past a healthy Howe or Caldwell. And if Taylor stays at 157, he'll likely have to contend with 2x NCAA champ Dake. Taylor would likely beat Dake during regular season, but in the limelight -- at the NCAAs -- I don't think Taylor could handle Dake.

It's funny that people were doubting Jenkins. Ok, it's true that Bubba wasn't always consistent, but against Taylor he was very consistent: He never lost to Taylor. And now he pinned Taylor at the NCAAs. Wow!

DT is in his redshirt when he is making the switch between highschool to college in this vid. So to lose to Sanderson badly and to BJ in a close dec is not surprising. Whats surprising is how close this match is. Now DT is matured into a scoring machine and a gamer. He is always attacking and finds a way to win. It is going to be too much for BJ. BJ is not in shape and thats not an excuse, hes had all year to prepare for this tourney. DT 8-1 dec

When bubba finally uses his GOD GIVEN ABILITTY ALL 7MINS.... No one would be able to hang with him. My mind taylor will win unless bubba gets his mind right on winning a national championship

No, that wasn't Taylor's last folkstyle loss. He got manhandled by Sanderson later on...it was brutal.

Both Taylor and Bubba have improved this year. I think the big question is whether Bubba will use his talent. We know Taylor will be ready, but will Bubba? Who knows, but if Bubba gets it together mentally, he'll demolish Taylor for sure.

Can't wait. Don't judge BJ by his worst performance you've seen, because he's a lot better than that. Then again, DT is way better now than he shows in this vid. In my opinion, BJ is a little better on his feet than DT, but DT has the advantage in scrambles and mat wrestling. My prediction: DT wins 6-2.

I think Bubba is tough match-up for Taylor. And Bubba is the most accomplished wrestler in the weight class -- a Junior World Champion.

My guess is that Taylor has improved much more than Bubba has since then. He has also grown more, in size, strength, and experience. I feel that if he can consistently push the pace and not let Bubba catch his breath, he will come away victorious. Go DT!!!

Both Taylor and Bubba have improved since then. Taylor is consistently a fantastic wrestler, although sort of predictable. Bubba is totally inconsistent and totally unpredictable. That unpredictability makes him dangerous, 'cause he can do a lot of things that you wouldn't expect were coming. My guess is that in the rematch, Bubba will edge out Taylor

Jenkins was actually only a 1X state champ in high school. As a freshman he lost to Brandon Hardy (a senior, NHSCA National Champion that year I believe) in the state finals. He won as a sopre. He didn't wrestle at states as a junior or senior, but as a senior he dominated his way through NHSCA senior nationals.
