if you look closely at the 10:24 - 10:28 sequence (before and as the TD was awarded) Miller still has his leg grapevine'd inside of Stephens' left leg, preventing him from fully squaring his hips to complete the body lock finish. Tough call but IMO not 2 and the ref should have waved it off.

Not disagreeing with you Ohio Fan......but those guys need to be at Ironman or something so we can find out in situations like this in the future......those would be some awesome matches to watch. Almost every other state with Great wrestling history is there, Apple Valley needs to come down and wrestle the Oh, Pa. NJ, ................ Agreed ???

Sitting in the stands from the angle I had. it looked like 2 for Stephens, but honestly after seeing the video I'm not so sure.....anyway I dont think this will be the last time they see each other.....they were far and away the best 2 in the their wt class (probably in the country). Maybe we will see at Sr. Nationals.....Good Luck too both athletes....

As a fellow official I can't believe you would talk trash another official...let alone two. Both of them are outstanding officials!!! If you truly are an official then you should know that Stephens checked Miller to his back and that WAS two. All of the State Rules Inter. agreed as well.

Agreed, I too believe Ian is the better wrestler but on this day he was beaten up and then overpowered, if only for a second, by Matt for the win. A lot of "ifs" but fact is Matt brought it and ultimately prevailed with what I believe was a fair call
