Two state championships zero nuts way to go.

And after that drop he did get a concussion and has yet been released from the doctors.

I think as soon as people came to the center of the mat, he milked it.
My sister could of got up from that.

Rico fake an injury to win a state championship??!! That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard!!! If he truly wanted the easy way out, he would have simply bumped up to 160 lbs to win the State Championship, rather than step up to the challenge to wrestle the undefeated, returning state champion, and fellow fargo all-american Oliver Pierce. When everyone else ran from 152 lbs, Rico stood his ground to wrestle one of the best wrestlers in the country!! I believe the 160 state champ (Dudley) is the same kid Rico pinned in last year's finals!!

I have seen Rico wrestle for many years and he is a legimate beast. He has never ran from anyone and certainly has never faked any injury. So for all you morons all there, probably one of many of Rico's pin victims, stop hating!! The kid is humble and a great kid off the mat as well.

One last thing- even if Rico would have able to shake off that slam in two minutes, the on-site physician would not have allowed him to return after even losing consiousness for even a few seconds!!! That's why responsible adults are present to make those decisions. Looks like the situation was out of Rico's hands!!!

Rico is a joke isn't the first nor the last time he fakes they should give him an Oscar

I attended the meet. 1st and foremost the referee called potentially dangerous after babin brought him down. Wrong or right that was the 1st call by referee. 2nd Rico had both arms to defend himself on the bring down. 3rd Rico used more force against Babin in his return of Babin to the mat after the takedown. I dont doubt either kids toughness, but ricos arms and legs were moving fine after the referee stopped the bout. 4th dont speculate about Babin and Pierce thats not in the equation. Pierce and fargo is far different than Pierce and Folkstyle.

the difference between Rico's return and Babin's is Babin lost control of his feet on the way down, or maybe he did on purpose, whereas, Rico's return was completely controlled by him. I had to look at it twice, but that's a slam by Babin. way to win or lose.

When I first watch it I thought it was the correct call because Rico never tried to defend the take down so i assumed the arm was traped. Watching it again i noticed both arms were free and Rico just did not defend, so I believe the call was incorect but can understand why the ref made the call he made. Its just ashame the match ended like it did. I'm sure both kids were not happy. I do not buy into the fact that Andy was assured a win, correct me if I'm wrong but cougar did escape and get the reversal. Some thing pierce did not do, just because Pierce bet Cougar does not mean he will bet Cougar. Wrestling styles have something to do with it..

Rico's takedown was a harder slam than cougar's...However, trainers/america is very sensitive about concussions these days....I bet you he was a little groggy and the trainer called it.....Very unfortunate it was state finals. As for a Slam.....I say no way.....Rico didn't defend himself on the return and Cougar did have control.....Rico was caught off guard with foot sweep.......Tough draw....and tough decision to make....good luck to both

The kid who got slammed had both arms free and did nothing to break his own fall.
It wasn't even a slam.
