I've known Jimmy for about 5 years and helped coach at the high school he wrestled at. I laughed when he wrenched that kid's shoulder. I'll just say this, you have to be careful when you wrestle with Jim.

kid from wyoming is dirtbag for wrenching the arm like that. could have cause life changing injuries, labrum/rotary cuff tear. etc.

all of yall saying that it shows lack of respect and the kid has no class. kid did what 90 % of other wrestlers would do. they wanna win at all cost and if you disagree you have never wrestled in college and worked hard

That was a lazy mess

Nelson pinned Bubba Jenkins with a snake in the Sunkist open. He is a very dangerous wrestler and can pin anyone.

The ref actually defended the wying wrestler in the end of the match.

Like a grade school match--head lock, snake, arm whip. Nothing fancy here, but entertaining all the same.

that was interesting... wacky match of the week is more like it

Nelson headlocked his way to a Midland's title this year!
Isn't he the kid who was losing 15-1 against Patacsil in the third when he launched him and stuck him with a headlock?

i wrestled belleville a lot in high school. he always did that sort of stuff. he's a very dirty wrestler.

I agree that he was frustrated and was in the moment, but it makes no sense to turn the arm in that direction. There was no possible move he could have done with that. No discipline!

Hooray 2 years ago

Knew he was gonna lose the match, so he tries to rip the damn kid's arm off. That is messed man, how you can try to injure someone who works so hard in their sport. Lack of respect for the competition.

nice uppercut attempt by OU at the end...
his match would have been alot easier if he didnt try to throw a crap headlock
in the first 5 seconds, middle school style. haha
great match though.

wow!! Where do I start. Those are 2 strong boys especially Nelson. But he seemed alittle green in alot of his technique. Didn't finish alot of opportunities and gave away alot of points. Near the end, the Wyoming kid tried to rip his arm off. DEFINITELY was illegal and should be point. Torqued arm beyond normal range of motion and did it with unusual and unnecessary force. Most people would have been done for the season!! Somehow, Nelson snaked his arm out. But it was not simply potentially dangerous. And the ref had no chance to stop move because of the way the kid did it. Stupid and illegal!!

sloppiest college wrestling iv seen. but good match ha

He was trying to take the arm back to get back points. It was "potentially dangerous" as signaled by the ref and not illegal - thus, no award of a point to the other guy. I think the kid was frustrated and shouldn't have done the head shoving since it really doesn't try to score him points, but I wouldn't call it classless - that's a bit of an overreaction. But, I guess that's how these comments tend to go. The whole match was rough and sloppy. But kudos to them for going hard the whole time.

What's up with the Wyoming kid? Twisting the guy's arm like that..that was completely classless. Especially at the end.

nice all star wrestling head smash on the mat.

Wrenched on his shoulder a little bit - nice understatement MB. Looks like both wrestlers were clearly OB there in the first period following Belleville's Gramby
