Well, they're not "excuses" so much as reasons. Howe literally tore his hammy. That's a season ending injury for MOST wrestlers. |

Im getting a little sick of all the making excuses for Howe when he got beat by Caldwell. Come oon give Caldwell credit where credits. Everyone just presumed that the finals wwould be Howe and Burroughs. But Howe lost and Caldwell wrestled a good matchl So no more excuses |

Like Winston but he tire and gas out, like when he lost to Asper and Hatchett this year.......Caldwell (Achilles) has a history of stepping up the plate with a huge will to win and exceding everyones expectations. He appears to be in tremendous cardio shape and has the potential to run the table, Howe is a beast and Burroughs is a freak, but Caldwell has wrestled both before and figures guys out. This should be the third time he battles Howe and Burroughs, I think he wins a very close one in ot over Howe, and is definately in Burroughs head!! He has figured out how to slow down Burroughs awesome double leg, and has the confidence now to pull it off!!!!! I cant wait for Philly and sit back and watch all the great matchups!!!................ |

wow exgrappler, a close match is different than saying he should have won. winston is the better wrestler. he is explosive on bottom and hits that granby from bottom probably at least once a match. to say he shouldnt have gotten it is pure arrogance and displays a pure ignorance in terms of how winston wrestles. |

Dang, we had at least 8,000 at our state tournament finals this year. Our state is small but we still have the support. Hard to believe that we aren't as deep as we have been over the last 50 years, but I think it's because the sport has grown in popularity over the country. It would be nice to see Flo at the Ok state tourney some day. In a few years Kenny Monday and John Smith sons will be on the same high school team. You can't miss out on that! |

You say, Sanderson lost to Gutches. But that was after college. Well technically, he actually did lose in college as well. He lost as a redshirt freshman. I know when you redshirt that your record doesn't count, so you won't see that loss on his record ofcourse, but "technically," he did lose in college. |

FYI Ohio, we all know Ohio is the greatest ever but we had over 9100 people at our state finals this year. You can hate on the depth but not the support and fan base. |
