Dave - I think you are defining "passivity" which is stalling. I did watch again, more like 2 to 1 out-shot. I also watched Dake's semi-final - very impressive and see why Frank did not go under when given the choice. I hope we get to see a rematch in March. |

Working the line, backing up and being out-shot 3to1; he should have been hit for stalling 2x, if not more.Go back and watch the match again. Molinaro did not out shoot Dake 3 to 1. It was about even in the 1st; Dake took more shots than Molinaro in the 2nd; and the 3rd was even until about the last 30 seconds when Molinaro started going crazy. Dake took plenty of shots throughout the whole match. Molinaro just makes it seem like he's doing a lot by dancing around a lot and banging the head. But, like I said, he actually didn;t take any more attempts than Dake until the very end. The reason the refs didn't call Dake for stalling was because he was making regular attacks throughout the match. I think they should have hit Dake for stalling right at the end when he clearly was just backing up to stay away. Other than that though, he really only backed up when Molinaro forced him to. There's nothing in the rules that says you can't take a step back when you get pushed backward. -Dave |

Ruth got a BYE as well, and ph yeah he raped Lewnes, in fact I heard he got arrested for the assault. Good thing Lewnes wrestles at Cornell, as he would be riding the bench at PSU. All will be told when Philly rolls around. Cornell doesn't have the complete lineup to place in the top 3. Good to see the East rising up, but stop crying. These tournaments mean very little. Cornell simply didn't get the job done. Shame on PSU for mismanaging Long and his weight as there would be nothing for Cornell fans to cry about. PSU would have won by 15.we will see what happens at the ncaa bud |

What I find interesting is how active Ruth is on top. I keep hearing he was stalling against Lewnes, but all Lewnes did from bottom was push on the head and leg wip. Why should Ruth be penalized for stalling when Lewnes kept pushing him down on the legs? Watch the match, count how long Lewnes has his hand on Ruths head and does nothing. |

dake molinaro looked similar to the burro / howe. Refs should make them wrestle ON the mat, not cut and run or allow push outs on escapes. |

i really find it disgusting how dake was allowed to run away the whole match, as long as that ref isnt reffing in march i see molinaro and penn state winning the one that counts |

Poor decision by Molinaro to go neutral or did he know that Dake would ride him like a hobby horse for 2 minutes. |

Grey and Meagher were out too. Meagher has wrestled as well as anyone in that 157 bracket except David Taylor. Stop crying about Long --especially when Pearsall scored some points -- and Q Wright who has not been a stud this year at all even before he got hurt. |

For the person that said the byes didn't impact the score. Cornell had their best three bonus wrestlers Simaz Bosak and Lewnes get first round byes. Penn State had their best bonus wrestlers with first round matches Taylor Alton Wade Molinaro. That does make a difference. Who cares that the Cornell 2nd and 3rd stringers got a first round match? |

I heard a lot of cornell fans complaining about all of the Byes they received in the first round and how it negatively effected the final tem score. Now I may have overlooked someone, but I do not think so. If we look at just the point scorers for CU and PSU, they each had 3 BYE's in the first round, giving neither team any kind of an advantage. |
