I don't know if this conversation is even worth it. I will say this, I saw many many coaches and leaders in USAW @ Vegas with their teams. Maybe in your neck-of-the-woods there are some people in USAW crossing the line, and that isn't right and they should be removed. I will admit there are some strong feelings by people that I dont/cant understand, I cant understand what their issue is. Maybe I just dont see this leadership as being a concrete entity. They are people who volunteer time. I dont know, maybe I'm wrong after 33 years in this sport and there are leaders who are paid and coaches being paid, bosses and subordinates. All I see is a few who do a lot of work for little or no thanks, and that goes for both USAW & NUWAY coaches/members. I say thank to all of them and I am done with this conversation. |

I was in Vegas. That tournament is going to become the mother of all tournaments. For the first year, it was exceptional and Vegas is well, Vegas. |

I was at the Super32 most weights from 171 down were 130 plus kids in the brackets. Great wrestling both days. Just a fan. |

Great time in Vegas, fantastic tournament with great matches and good Officials, Second Chance Tournament on Sunday gave everyone who went 0-2 or 1-3 the opportunity to wrestle as many matches as they wanted. If you have never been to Vegas or Vegas on Halloween it's an atmosphere similar to the Super Bowl or New Years if not better. Everyone in our group had a great time and found National level matches. Thank you to NUWAY and we hope to see more events in Vegas. |

USAW had everything to do with it "A." When they are calling people telling folks not to attend tournaments, then they are part of the problem. And yes, that is what is going on. Ask around and you'll find out the real truth and not what you just are being told by the higher ups. |

We are USA WRESTLING. All of us. Dont tell me they held kids out. Like someone said earlier, a jack"ss coach held the kids out. USAW had nothing to do with it. Every kid and coach nationwide is USA Wrestling and that is something you should remember. Its not a fight and there wont be a winner. The young wrestlers are the focus and the future, NOT A COACH OR A LEADER OF USAW OR NUWAY! There isnt a coach worth his salt who would state otherwise, no matter how instrumental they are. Ask yourself if these kids care if they meet oneanother @ a USAW,NUWAY,S32,BestoftheWest,Fargo,Ironman,RTOC or the closest overpass on The 15. Work together and remember it isnt about YOU. |

Tell that to USAW who purposely went out of their way to keep kids from attending Vegas this year. |

Zahid was a 7th grader last year when he entered THE FLO NATIONALS on the "SLY" and lost 4-0 to Dicamillo, beat Tomasello 3-2, and lost to 3-2 to Powell which dropped him to the 5th & 6th place match where he beat Miller 2-1.Look up those names in high school wrestling and they are all top high school kids. This kid is great.Takes everyone back to a young Coach Smith sneaking into the national trny with his older brother Leroy .As far as NUWAY & USA. Learn to get along. Stagger your trny's so we can do both. My team will compete in both and support both, as well as many solo acts. We wish Vegas and S32's could have been on consecutive weekends. We would have went to both. What happened to S.Knoblauch, watch him wrestle a couple times, where did he place.Cisneros/Martinez final was great.Martinez is a beast and hope Coach B. is taking some of his kids to Ironman. Make the call Coach. Great time and Great wrestling. Good job by all. |

Navejas got gyped. That shoulda been 5-0 if not a pin. Valencia is probably the luckiest kid out there. |

A 2009 Fargo Junior Champ wrestled Cadets this year and did not place. |

So, then he didn't win the title because it was at 98lbs? Keep stretching. Fact still remains that he is a Fargo CHAMP! |
|
|

He won at 98 lbs. and got second at 105lbs., The Junior level light weights are not as deep as Cadets, not many 17-19 year olds are that light. That is why some cadets move up at these weights, for a chance a National Title. |

Champ in 09' , 2nd in 10'....bottom line is Valencia beat him and he is quality....Jis dad takes him everywhere...the kid place at Flo nationals last year as a 8th grader...If you want some of him make the call and I'd bet Valencias dad will pack him anywhere in the country.....I too will support USA and NUWAY. |

The brackets were not weak. Yes they were small for the elite brackets, maybe 28-36 on most, but most were loaded with great kids across the board. The Valencia kid is for real, he beat Navejas for the title. There realy should be harmony between USA & NUWAY. The only beef is between jackass coaches and parents, who should help fundraise and then get out of the room. There was more USA a garb here than NUWAY, nobody minded. The kids love the extra matches. Work together and keep you mouth shut. This world needs less whiney MEN and more good men. Remember, if you are on here ing about something you suck and should get a life. As for us we will continue to support USA & NUWAY! |

The last two posts are so misinformed, its sad. The participants were posted for weeks so to say you didn't know how many kids would show is ridiculous. Ruben Navejas Fargo champ from WA lost to Valencia who I believe is an 8th grader. Ask the Fullerton coach how much he appreciates what NUWAY/SCWAY has done for his program. |

who was the fargo champ that valencia beat? the #1 seed @ 43 went 0-2 in fargo. NUWAY exists so people can put money in there own pockets. When Fullerton goes thank them. |

It is funny that NUWAY is so concerned about spending an extra 15 bucks on a USA card..But, could care less that you wasted 100+ dollars on a hotel. NUWAY, you should care more about your members. It is your fault several families wasted their money on hotels. You should have made it aware to everyone that you did not have the turnout you were advertising. Just my two cents. |
