Silver just gave up in the third.

rodriguez won this match by just being the quicker wrestler he was heavy on the head and when an oppurtunity presented itself he capitilized. wish he along with gulibon would have went to nhsca nationals. they could have battled with the 2 finalists that went into overtime there i think one was from pa and the other nm? my opinion is freddie is the best at 112

til season 3 years ago

Only if freddie could beat him in folkstyle

what silver actually do to his leg? i missed it, was it during the takedown when he went for that leg trip off his single leg? or did he hurt while ridding on top. i looked like it hurt him alot and basically cost him the match.
muscle cramp for sure.Thats all but ok it cost him the match!!!

Rodriguez never fails to impress, without a doubt.

silver needs to learn to cut weight better, or not cut as much. physically and mentally broke down

Once Silver tweeked his leg, he was not the same. It was like he just shut it down from that point on. I do believe Silver is the better of the two at this point.

great match

That was IMPRESSIVE!!! Silver looked vicious on top in the 1st period. Then Freddie The Nightmare looked like the russian wrestler Besik Khudukov for the rest of the match. Then dominated two periods!! IMPRESSIVE!!

nathan kraisser beat silver at MD states in freestyle and greco i think..

Does buxton not teach how to clear a collar tie? Every time silver is in a collar tie he tries to shoot and rodriguez just pulls him to the mat and hits him in a snap and spin. Silver just got crushed by a 103 pounder.

to be honest i thought freddy looked bigger then silver here lol but he had alot more energy at 112 should just stay at 12 forget cutting to 3

This freddie kid has a body of kid that wrestles 119... maybe 125.... so he better be winning states at 103.....

As a former 105 pounder I'll agree that that is a lot of weight to give up to a much stronger wrestler. I'm excited to see what Freddie can do this year - I'm now a fan. What grade is he entering?
Freddie is a 2X state champ and is entering the 11th grade

impressive 3 years ago

rodriguez has beaten the #1 103 in the country (cody phillips) and now the #1 112. Silver might be a better folkstyle wrestler than rodriguez, since rodriguez lost to joey dance at super 32 and silver won ironman when dance was in the field. nonetheless though rodriguez was really impressive in this match and at fargo

Silver is cutting too much weight and it shows.

Rodriguez stayed heavy on that head. Thats how he broke Silver. If you don't agree ya may want to watch that again.

Too legit to quit.

Conditioning won that match. Rodriguez had the technique in the last 2 periods and Silver couldn't stop anything. Very impressive for giving up 7 lbs.
