don't get these two things confused athleticism and skill. Sure crabtree looks like a stud but what did he have , stanley countered those throw by's and capitalized in the end. he was out manned but wrestled a smart match and gave himself a chance and pulled it out. Stanley reminds me of my self, not very athletic or strong just an experienced wrestler trying to stay in good position although he is no where near as good on bottom but did not get turned.

You can talk all you want about the referee but Stanley took him down clearly in the third and in OT. If Crabtree would have prevented that he would have won Period. The wrestlers decided the match not the ref. The call on the arm bar is one that can not be disputed by this video. Bottom line is Crabtree still had the opportunity to win and didn't get the job done. Great match by both wrestlers.

thanks for the great match boys! No backing down and all fight to the end -- great ending to a great dual...hate to have to wrestle either guy in a state-level bracket with a medal on the line.

"bar arm to (bad) hammer lock (or wing)= potentially dangerous" depends on who took it there. If the defensive wrestler or the action makes the hold illegal...PD. If the offensive guy applying the hold is responsible for making it illegal in the eyes of the ref...1 pt penalty.

bar arm to hammer lock = potentially dangerous not a penalty point. Great match but the officials got too involved as usual.......

I have no stock in this match, here are my thoughts...
Do I agree with the call? No, but it is hard to get the same look as that referee (and he is a good ref) and the bar could have been ran differently! I understand scooping that bar at the forearm and bringing it up, if it's a wing you want, why not with a cross wrist or something? If you want a bar, why not going to the inside wrist? It seemed like busy work on top not productive attempts to score. Hardy a way to get a turn against an Ed's kid, even if you're more skilled.
I take nothing away from Stanley, he did what it took to win, congrats to him! Crabtree just seemed like a more schooled horse that didn't capitalize on all of his work. He pushed the pace, no question, but he didn't get Stanley out of position or have good shot selection! He is a stud though, in my eyes, way better than being 12th ranked! He is very good and just need some things to fall into place.

I couldn't really see what happened with the camera angle used. What was the penalty point awarded for? What was the illegal move?

in my opinion, that penalty point should have been a stalling point, thus, not changing the result of the match. The graham kid rode parallel for the entire period and by definition that is stalling. great match by both wrestlers

clearly Crabtree was more technical and had better technique, Stanley just got lucky that Crabtree slipped up. I could careless about either so im not biased towards anyone.

Enjoyed the match. Didn't care much for the penalty point that played such a factor in the end. I don't have a horse in this race and it seemed Crabtree pushed the pace the entire way only to get stung in the end.

Great Dual with everything there is that I, personally, love about the sport on display: packed gym, kids on the side of the mat screaming, two little pizzers fighting like tooth and nail. Thanks FLO, Ed's and Graham!

Flowwrestling MISSED a great opportunity by by cutting the tape as the last match ended, thus robbing the FANS of a great occasion.

Great match but I do not get the 1 point PD call.

I can not think of a time I have seen that called in such a tight match.
Otherwise great wrestling by both kids. Just battling to the end.
