I just smile when that guy talks. Not many people could survive his coaching style and personality, intensity, philosophy, ....but those that do will be the best they can be on the mat.

I'll tell you what it is. Brands is one of those extreme, Wyatt Earp-types who believes that family is #1 and everyone else is "just strangers." If you're not in the family, he comes across as hyper-defensive and arrogant. (Did you hear him with Zeb? There it was again--Who are you? I don't know you ...) On the other hand, can you imagine what it would feel like if you WERE in the family and he was in your corner? Not many people can match his intensity and loyalty. It's got to give a wrestler a lot of confidence to know he's got a guy like that backing him up and fighting for him tooth and nail.

I believe Tom Brands might be an apple throwing Coach. Its so cool how all of the Brands, Gable, interviews link together to make one big story. Like the one where Gable said he was not a genius either he just found the right people with the answers just like brands. Its a Gable style of wresting its biblical in nature and Brands is spreading the word of Gable in a way that demands your attention because you no what he is saying is to your best interest and truly the right direction to accomplish your dreams. I might be a select few that is a huge fan of Tom Brands and the Iowa style and that baffles me.
