FAKE!!! coleman would never beat mango !!! and they were both scoring wayyy to easy on each other! remember the olympics are coming up soon these guys are not going to go full throttle to risk the chance of getting hurt! and last mango would have pinned his ass and never would have let him up thats a dead giveaway at 3:24! |

Eagleman18, "mango got 8th in the olympics do you realy think hes just going to throw the match?" Exactly. You think someone who took 8th at the Olympics is going to get body locked so easily? This wasn't a real match. Whether they staged it or not who knows, but they were't going 100% I guarantee you that. |

Watch 3;24 and tell me that Ellis was making any attempt to defend that throw. If he was, well then he's going to get an ass whooping when he gets to London. But I know, as any wrestler who watches this should, that they obviously just wanted to go out and put on a good show for the fans. |

I wouldn't call it fake necessarily, but come on now, you can't tell me these guys were giving their all. Watch their olympic trials matches. How many times did you see them get thrown? In fact, how many throws like this did you see in the whole tournament? Their goal was to go out their, not get hurt, and put on a good show for the fans. Which they did. But you are kidding yourselves, (or you just don't know wrestling) if you think this looks like to guys who want to win. They are having fun, as they should, with the games coming just around the corner. |

i'm tired of this stuff that its fake and its staged. guys at this level would never lose on purpose, but the fact that its an exhibition allows them to open up the offense without any worries of a losing a match, losing a tournament, losing a shot at worlds, etc. So they are going out there looking for big moves, crowd pleasing throws, powerful athletic techniques. not staged bullcrap. you are degrading these wrestlers and the entire sport by saying that this match was planned |

Its pretty sad that people would degrade a spectacular performance by two of the best wrestlers in the U.S. When an athlete wants to be the best in the world, no one at that level loses on purpose, none!!! Obviously, some of you bloggers have forgotten or never have been thrown in a high level competition. Its very painful !!! |

Stop the exhibitions!!!

Wrestling is a sport the requires killer instinct and the desire to go all out. All of the wrestling exhibitions that I've seen on Flo (The Western PA Legends, the Big 12 vs Big 10, and the Beat the Streets Gala) have all been bad. You can't go all out in an exhibition. I honestly believe that this match was intended to be an exhibition. There are a few key points in the match where you could see Mango letting him back in. Even if the people involved say it wasn't a show, I still believe this match was intended to show the excitement of a high level Greco match between two top notch wrestlers. It's only a matter of time until someone gets hurt during one of these exhibitions. I also knew that there was no way that the Metcalf/Caldwell match was going to happen. You can't get two top guys to show up at a spot and wrestle like it's bare knuckles boxing. If you want to have good exhibitions, get the HS kids to go at it. They would go 100% to put on a show for the party. They could have had kids from PA, Jersey, and NY get in there and tear it up. |

Nah it was fake. It was legit we both wrestled to win. Why the heck would i fake a match. I know you all think its not because its spenser but the first match we had at NYAC was almost like this. It was 3 periods. |

no no no

wrestlers and competitors of this caliber would not fake or stage a match. thats pretty messed up and low to take away from their performances. most of us know how it feels to win a match and the hunger just grows. they both wanted it...maybe not like a national finals match or world medal match, but they both wanted it. |
