you should honestly think about a highligh video for this tournament even tho it was a good while ago. many people would enjoy that because i know for a fact there are some dirty moves u got on camera just from spectating and i hit a few myself. anyway thanks for the great tournament see you again next year:p

flo fan 1 year ago

215 and 285 semis please!!!

Scott Manyon 1 year ago

Hope I'm not repeating another post, but the one thing I would have liked (or hopefully in the future this will be rectified) was to see flonationals and the high school national championships being held on different weekends. Then we would see some true national champions.
Keep up the good work, I love the coverages you provide. I would like to see a tab for workout videos once again, they're very motivating for me.

Tank's Semi's 1 year ago

It wasn't very exciting, he just got rode like a mule in the 3rd period and that was the deciding factor. Not much action otherwise other than Knowles adjusting his singlet straps every four seconds.

I would like to see the tank knowles semi match...

I hope Flo doesn't model anything from ESPN. ESPN is nothing more than the Football, Basketball and baseball network. They could care less about else.

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

are the rest of the semi's going to be posted ?

Could you please post the 135 Semis? Thanks!

One more thing about Flo vs. the other guys.

I have dreams about some ncaa champion coming off the mat and telling quent kesenich or whatever other know-nothing-about-wrestling goober espn has working the finals; "excuse me pal but I'm gonna go over here and talk to the Flo guys."

Now THAT would be cool.

Another fantastic tournament. I can't express enough how great Flo is for wrestling!!
Thank you, Thank you, thank you.

One suggestion. Let Justin Tritz (Trackwrestling.com) do the brackets and realtime updates on your matches. His site is second to none. The updates to the brackets happen in real time and he has recently added a match scoring system, so you can follow the match in the event there is not a live feed video. Track is simply the best product out there in terms of tournament bracket organization and providing the instant results we all love. This will free up much time as all updates are done at the mat by the table workers already there. And it is really, really, affordable.

While do people think they are entitled to anything from flo? It is not at is if you are paying a fee for their coverage. They do a phenomenal job bringing fans the best coverage week in and week out, and people still complain. Even if they immediately uploaded every single match all weekend, people would still find a way to complain. Fans need to stop taking this website for granted, and start appreciating it as one of the most valuable wrestling resources around.

Is there any tape of the Tanks semi final loss? I would very much like to see that match. i heard that it was pretty good

Nick hit it with his comment that because of Flo, wrestling has grown.

When espn started they took the major network sports presentation model and expanded it to the 24 hour format. The Flo guys took that whole espn/abc/cbs/nbc way of doing things and threw it out the window so they could start from scratch.

The reason Flo is a little ragged at times and sort of shoot-from-the-hip at other times is because they're inventing a whole new sports presentation paradigm. Every time they do something, it's like a proof-of-concept exercise.

I personally love the way they do things. For me the biggest mistake they could make would be to get sophisticated or more 'professional'.

Their 'broadcast' of the Rutgers/Lehigh dual is a good example. They started before the match began, as the gym was filling up. So i'm sitting at home in front of the computer watching the guys warm up on the mat. Louie took a phone call from Gene Mills (i think) and PASSED it off to Bader. Now you just don't see that kind of stuff on espn and you never will. Roper and Fretwell did their early analyses in front of the lake out back for crying out loud! During the lead up to post-season tourneys while Roper did his analysis of a weight Fretwell was crushing empty NOS cans on his head. It looked like they did that at 3am because they probably did do it at 3am and it was AWESOME. And that's why i love Flowrestling.

Of course they could use some help in a few things but i for one don't want them to change the basic principles they've been using from the beginning.

Go Flo!

I completely disagree coward, I think that BECAUSE of the way Flo runs their site, wrestling has grown. It's exciting and fresh, a welcoming community. Because they act like they do, people feel more apart of Flowrestling rather than just people who use it. With today's web, that is the sort of thing that markets well. People want to be apart of what is going on and feel connected to what they are interested in. That is why Facebook and twitter do so well.

i guess to defend my post below (the one people are referring to as the "espn post")

i am bashing on flo (and i would really hardly call it bashing,) because i think it is about time this website really picks up. I see this website as a way to get wrestling back on the national scene (in case you didn't notice wrestling is a dying sport.) That cannot be accomplished with some of the stuff that currently goes on on this website. Hate me if you will, but someone has to say it. I love flo, i love that i can watch all the wrestling i want, but i don't think it is promoting the sport for new comers like it could be.

Why be satisfied with something that was great 5 years ago? time to step up, and really get things going. When i compared Flo to ESPN i meant that flo should model itself off of their website in terms of order/professionalism/and clarity. Do you think wrestlers are the only athletes that want to broadcast their sport in a goofy "different" kind of way? Hell no, but if we had some of the clowns that work on this website working on basketball/football you name it the sport would become a laughing stock.

If you are content in letting wrestling remain in the darkness forever, lets not make a single change to the one organization (flo) that can revitalize wrestling in america.

Again i am sorry if i offended anyone, this isn't a personal attack on anyone, simply a suggestion from a fan.

Me again 1 year ago

First of all I love Flowrestling and the tournament just completed today was great and I wish the organizers all the success in the world going forward. The name of the game in the business world today is continuous improvement, to become the best you can be. With that said let me offer some suggestions:
1. Organize the web site so information is easier to find as I found it difficult to find even things viewed previously (and I visit a lot of web sites).
2. Have the information be consistent and accurate,,,the finals today were listed as a 5PM start in one area, 3 PM in another.
3. Update the brackets more quickly. The bout scores were missing in the brackets too. All you have to do here is use Trackwrestling. Then the tournament scoring, results compilation and tracking will be simultaneous with on-line information for all to see... state of the art.
4. Durring the video filming add more information on the wrestlers past accomplishments such as win-loss records and state titles. They are very good now but can be even better.

All in all thanks much for all you do!
