You have a decent point on head positioning although it's a bit overstated. Our technique is behind the Russians, and it's not like if we perfect head positioning and blocking from neutral we'll suddenly be at their level; it would help. I do not agree with your assertion that these wrestlers need to drop a weight class, and two weight classes? That's crazy talk. Murtazaliev is similar size to Poeta, he had less success at 66kg than 74kg. Mike has a lot of potential but if he somehow made the cut to face Taghavi or the Turk Olympic champ he would still lose. Hopefully, he can continue to improve so that he can become world champ quality in the future. I like Nick Simmons, he's a tough match up and a huge threat on top, but even if he improves all those things he's not going to beat someone like the North Korean world champ or in the Henry Cejudo mold. He just does not have the firepower to beat someone of that caliber even if he spends all his time focusing on improving the positioning issues that you mention. Of course that's just my opinion, I hope Nick can prove me wrong.
