Is it 2? Did he establish enough control? If not why?
Looks like 2 for blue to me, Same position as the Oliver tilt from the wizzer, sorry wrestler in grey thats just how it looks on tape
I couldn't think of what a cutback is but when I saw the video I realized it is what a good friend of mine and a great coach teaches as a bumpback cradle. If he wasn't cradled long enough for two back points he was definitely cradled long enough to get control for a takedown.
Bad call, 2 and 2. break, break,The guy who hit the move should have tried to give it up when he felt it slipping, preventing the reversal; sometimes easier said than done.
tough call, he had control initially but then started getting his right hip out a little bit. for anyone who is confortable with hitting a cutback thats a pretty awkward position and you really dont have control. so idk, i guess id have wed have to go to the rule book for this 1. and chuck people in folkstyle hit cutbacks all the time so idk what your talking about that its just a freestyle move

I see this as a scramble position where both wrestlers feel they have control and are still fighting for control. In my opinion the offensive wrestler has to try to escape the hold for it to be considered control by the defensive counter wrestler. Much like many scramble situations where a wrestler is caught on his back. I feel because he continued to wrestle through it and drove for the takedown and did get the takedown ultimately, this was a good call. The right wrestler won the match.I also think we should petition Google and whomever else for TAKEDOWN to be considered an official compound word.
Both guys had there hips on the mat and neither had covered the other or had clear control. Plus from this angle I am not even sure he had nearfall.Just because he caused them to go to the mat does not mean he gets 2. It is like a crackdown.......neither man gets points until they have clear control. And that was not clear......in an State
