Bobby Douglas has plans for a regional training center in Steubenville, OH in the Ohio River Valley at Smitty's Gym. Coach Douglas talks about the talent level in the Valley and what he wants to do to revitalize the Valley.

Have any of you been to the 'valley' that he is talking about? Steubenville, OH/W.VA. Western PA. all very tough appalchian type folks and a smaller % of african americans. Hard workers when given the chance. Very depressed area for a long period of time along the Ohio river. That area needs to be revitalized. Alot of poverty. Up north in the Cleveland / NE Ohio area would be a better choice for success due to the wrestling tradition and history. Good luck to Coach DOuglass and hopefully this becomes a reality. |

How can you apply for grants and money to fund these operations? In north central iowa we could really use something like this where we could bring wrestlers together to keep up improving our athletes with greater training and knowledge. Is there a website or something to get more information? |

Mr. Douglas, please bring one of these centers to NYC! New York wrestlers have a lot of potential and it would be great to have one of these centers in the city. |
