Once again dominating performance by Metcalf.

BTW, does anyone know why Daniel Dennis (Iowa 133) and Nick Gallick (Iowa St 141) didn't compete in the Midlands? I'm puzzled by not seeing their names.
I believe Dennis was injured and is just getting back in the line up

Brent Metcalf is GREAT for wrestling whether you love him or hate him. He is truly the epitomy of INTENSITY, COURAGE, WORK ETHIC, FOCUS, COMMITMENT, DISCIPLINE, and COMPETITIVE FIRE. I wish we had more guys as committed to our sport as Brent Metcalf. Once you have coached and come across guys with incredible God given talent/abilities but zero heart, discipline, or commitment to the sport to go with it, you will appreciate a guy like Metcalf a heck of a lot more, trust me. Hopefully he will represent the United States someday at the World and Olympic level, time will tell.

LeValley would've beat him if he had 2 more seconds

Brent is strictly business when it comes to wrestling. His loss last year to Caldwell made him more focused. Remember when Gable lost to Ownings he went on to train for the 72 Olympics only to win the gold and not be scored upon. The only thing that would make Brent smile would be to win the ncaas................maybe.

I think Metcalf handle comment about losing in last years final pretty good. Considering how devastating it was for him he didn't really blink or show objection.

Angelo Latora 3 years ago

judging by metcalf's facial expression after the camera guy commented on his loss in the finals last year i feel like metcalf was deciding on to punch him or not.

SOOO Serious...I want to see if someone can make him laugh or smile. I've never seen him in interviews do either or
