What makes this site cool is everyone has an opinion, and we will all get to look back at this clip in March and see if this " Hell Week " worked or not. ASU looks like an awesome place to train. It's warm all year....You don't have to run in below freezing weather in the middle of Feb. |

ac, I don't know if their goal is to make them quit. I've heard that the ASU guys of late weren't working hard, so they are trying to change the mentality around there. I've heard the only guys putting in a lot of time happen to be the two guys who AA'd last year. Sounds like more guys need that mentality and that is probably what the new coaches are after. Charles has been at some top notch programs, so my guess is he knows a little bit about coaching. |

okay we'll see if they know what their doing.. but if a coaches goal is to make kids quit then he isnt a good coach no matter what level it is.. the goal is for every athlete to strive for national world and olympic championships.. if your a freshman right out of high school its hard for kids to adapt to all of the change right out of high school thats why we have red shirt seasons.. im pretty sure that minnesota has the freshman work out with only freshman for a month before getting fully adjusted.. remember these freshman are still kids and no matter how good you are in high school college is totally different |

these guys are trying to lose guys? that makes no sense its sad to think a ty program like asu is going to stay ty cuz they hire someone like that.. if you got some good guys who you actually cared about and put the effort into making some men become successful this could end up being good.. perfect situation for a program to be the best.. but hardass coaches never are successful so good luck. ( and if you think brands is a hardass, he isnt, his intensity simply brings every person up to places where no one else goes) this coach is figuring if he has 50 guys and 10 turn out good hes okay well the truth is thats not going to make a program i might make a few good guys.. look at all great programs they have quality guys that never step on the mat and in some situations they could be AA at other schools.. so good luck but i bet we see the program dropped or a new coach in 4 yrs |
