He squats 650 pounds. He benches 400 pounds. Team New York's 215-pound Zack Buoraiuto also drops brutal powerbombs on unsuspecting Greco-Roman competitors. Who says the bigs guys aren't exciting?

lol i think that this is hilarious.... this is wrestling... its a rough sport, it takes the strongest, quickest and smartest athletes to be wrestlers... these athletes are tought how to get slammed and how to slam people. these kids will not get hurt because of they are in peak shape. just leave the wrestling to the wrestlers and don't worry about how they wrestle. the rules need to stay the same and nothin needs to be changed. |

i see people do it all the time, last yr at southern plains nathan furches did the same thing. when it was his turn to lift the ref stoped it and just gave him his points. |

To be honest I dont know if this is legal or not. If it is, the rules need changing immediately! I cant believe this is allowed. If this kid keeps doing this, some other kid is going to become a paraplegic! This ISNT cool and its NOT safe wrestling. His coach should be ASHAMED he hasnt stopped this. This kid needs to sit down and have a LONG talk with Ray Murphey AND Wade Shalles. |

that kids defense is horrible. the other kids snatch was slow. just another sloppy match. you could see it any where and i have seen it a ton of times at local tournaments from pud beginer kids. if he could hit that a fargo against the real all-american wrestlers then hes got some talent. not bashing on him, just saying it wasnt that exciting. |

Everyone should just stop complaining and stop bashing on a kid who is just doing a sport he loves and is performing the way he wants to ,yes the kid hit a move on a weaker kid but still he is wrestling and wrestling isnt a soft sport its rough. Also he wasnt going to take an opponent lightly and give the kid a better chance. He was looking to do his best and thats all no matter what the situation was. |

As someone whose wrestling career was ended due to a severe neck injury, this move if legal needs to be banned at the Junior level and below. That said...... |

The key part which makes these moves actually pretty safe and legal is that the NY kid backs up before he executes the slam. When you back up like that it makes the opponent land on his back and not his head, leading to the fall. |

Very cool throws! The first two while cool did not look at all dangerous, that is the way Greco is, what else do you expect him to do? The third is impossible to gauge because of the camera angle and nobody who was on the other side of the mat and or the refs suggested it even MAY have been an illegal slam, looked legal and straight forward to me. I can see how this kid can lift that much weight he looks like a beast! |

I read all of the posts before watching the video - it wasn't quite as bad as some made it out to be - but you can't really see what happened on the last slam. I don't get the guy filming and commenting on the match. Unless this was the final match of a state or regional tournament against a kid that was talented and top rated, how can you possibly get so geeked over what happened? If he does that in an Olympic qualifier against top notch competition in a few years, then I'd be just as excited about how good he is. Kid's a freakish specimen - no doubt about that. Did he wrestle against any experienced wrestlers like Stieber did in freestyle? That would be a better gauge on what to expect in the future. Difficult to tell how much he can progress from where he is at already. Happens all the time. |

So everyone knows the young man who was taken out on a stretcher was back in the gym about 2 hrs later sitting with his team. young inexperienced wrestlers should compete as much as possible but not at a tourny that has teams from all up and down the east coast participating. this was a higher lever tournament and the competition that was good tough hardnosed wrestlers. It was a lot of fun and look forward to next year. |
