I can see people thinking he is hard to approach, or not a social butterfly, but blowhard he is not. I have had nothing but great experiences with this guy. Ever think of how a teen acts at a camp with over 500-700 kids? Diva? I love it! This guy had tunnel vision and was consumed by winning a national title, that may be the reason for your poor interactions with him. Thanks for signing you name. |

Rex has always been a bit of a douche to other people. I had him as a counselor for several weeks at the Ohio State Camp. He treated the people in my group as if they were insginificant and below him - he even looked bothered if you asked him a question. Maybe others had different experiences with him - but to us kids at the time - he was a pompous blowhard - liked a roped off superstar. On the other hand, Kevin Randleman and Adam DiSaabato were two of the friendliest and most engaging people I've ever met at wrestling camps. Both very helpful and down to earth. These two guys were like rock stars to us - and not once did they pull a diva-like attitude. I remember Randelman coming to our dorm asking if we wanted to play tennis or get some extra work in. This was a national champ! - More counselors at wrestling camps should be like that. |
