Really though they my be good wrestlers there not decorated and do not compare to the competition level at NHSCA...

peterson was a triple crown winner last year and wilps beat him for the title. i think flonationals had plenty of tough kids.

Okay? Warner did not place at NHSCA he was mauled in Quarters by Parker Madl from Kansas. Then lost in wrestlebacks.

Tristan Warner beat Wilps in the PA Semi Finales. Warner was a state runner up and going to ODU. Warner took 2nd in the state Wilps took fifth.

He lost to Tristan Warner bad at PA states. Warner Did not place. The level of competition was not even close in this weight class.

He got 5th at Pa States. Just shows you hot tough Pa is!

I agree Kevin. Quite frankly, if you have nothing better to do than cut down a CHAMPION, then maybe you should get out of the sport altogether. If we have learned nothing recently, it is that wrestling needs positive people that support and respect one another, and not negative losers that take away from the accomplishments of others. Anyone that knows anything about wrestling, or winning at anything for that matter knows that when you get to an elite level, as these kids at FloNationals, that anything can happen on any given day. This kid could have lost 2 and out another weekend against the quality competition here at the tournament any other day, but on this day he was a CHAMPION, and judging from the interview, the folks at the University of Pittsburgh believe the same thing. I would guess that Wilps, or any one of these kids was more than capable of competing at the NHSCA tournament, and if you don't like that point of view, feel free to NOT visit the FloWrestling website anymore. Go and get your news, technique, and other pertinent wrestling information from the NHSCA website from now on and leave this place to the folks that would actually like to further the sport of wrestling.

I'm getting really sick of people coming on here and cutting down Flonationals champs by saying stupid things like "would not have placed at NHSCA." How do you know? What is your evidence. I'll give you one example at least Jake Dorulla place 6th at Sr. Nationals. He was MI state champ by a score of 6-4 over Ryan Olep who placed 7th at Flonationals. I realize this is not real sound logic but it would seem that Wilps would have placed. Know some facts before you go spouting off like a jacka**.
