why was john perry chosen? i am a freshman and could put up a better fight thatn perry stuart hope is a junior and can absolutely manhandle perry. also perry went 0-2 in the state tournament and he came in the #1 seed(as a sc wrestler im disapointed that john perry was chosen to represent us and then screw it up) |

john perry is way overated, when his team came and wrestled us i wrestled the other 103 and demolished him, i wonder where john perry was??? turns out the other 103 beat him out for the starting position and he was only a sophmore!!! |

The kids from GA were only seniors, too. It may not have been the best each state had to offer, but it was the BEST seniors each state had to offer. It's not like GA had kids in 9, 10, 11, and 12 grade, but the SC team only had seniors, they were both limited to seniors. |

They don't place more than 4 in SC because it is already embarrassing that 4 kids that can't wrestle walk away from the SC state tourney with medals and the designation of "all state." They only place more than 4 in states where it would actually mean something to earn a medal. In Iowa they place 8. In most midwest and northeast states (where earning a state medal actually means something) they place 6. Getting a state wrestling medal in SC is like being the smartest kid in special ed class: you may be the smartest kid in your class, but is that really something to brag about? My apologies to all of the special ed students and teachers out there for associating you with SC wrestling. |
