Indoctrination is gross! Being told whats right without evidence. Every last one of you would be muslim if you were born in the middle east. You would have been indoctrinated just like you did to believe in your Christian god. You Christians are NO BETTER than any other religion. I like the default position of no religion. Thank your parents, friends and coaches for success. Things you know helped. Not somthing you cant prove. No one has ever proved a god exist. Religions are INVENTED to help us answere hard question that we could not know. It appeals to everyone that there is a heaven but it could just be an idea made up out of the fear or death. When someone says they have a personal relationship with god (talking to themself) it makes me think there crazy. Sucks that religion will also tell you who to pray too, how to vote and how to mangage your sex life. If you want to go one step further it will take your money too. If you could reason with religion then there would not be any. Try Science and rational thought.

God Hates Us All - While I don't know your name - I am committing to pray for you. As an earlier post points out, if your beliefs are wrong you will have an eternity to believe otherwise. You seem to be a rather analytical thinker. I encourage you to read Lee Strobel - A Case For Christ. What's the worst that could happen?

I think this is a very heart warming interview. It is so wonderful to me to be able to see people who have a relationship with God shine. Glorifying God in all you do is a great way to live. Not many people are able to. I hope all is well.

yo whats good man. good to see another atheist on flowrestling. although i have tremendous repsect for my fellow wrestlers, i always have a little laugh to myself every time i hear them talking about how "god" helped them. hahaha, i guess god hates the guy who lost the match. or just doesnt love him as much. or whatever people use to rationalize using 'god' in a sports context

Totally agree that it would be idiotic to think that I could convert people to think for themselves. That will take more than a little shyt talking, but I can pose a counter to all the rubbish comments that state that anything is possible through god and Christ etc. etc.

So you're saying that since he believes in God, he has no critical thinking skills that he should have because he is at Michigan State? I'd like to think that maybe there is a God because a smart kid like that at Michigan State believes in one. What about our president? He believes in God, does he not have the critical thinking skills that most people would think is gained by attending Harvard Law School? Or maybe Barack Obama and Franklin Gomez are both just delusional with no critical thinking skills, along with Darren Caldwell, who thanked God, and other christian athletes like Ben Watson. Dig a little deeper and find out more bro before you totally trash it. God loves you too man.

I wonder a lot about Barack. I think a lot of the crap about god that comes out of his mouth is to fool the masses of morons that live in this country. But who knows maybe he is a delusional twit who has blind faith in an imaginary being? (He did accept the honorary presidency of the discriminatory group the Boy Scouts of America) I highly doubt god loves anyone because there is no god. So I assume that you mean you love me, which I might say is a bit flattering, but in no way will I reciprocate such feelings to someone who is perpetuating a belief in a silly superstition. One last thing, I recommend you dig deeper in what you believe in and stop believing in things because everyone else does or because that's what mommy and daddy taught you. Think for yourself and stop allowing the very old dogmas of our past dictate everything that you do in life.

For all of you God haters out there: You better be right. There's an eternity to pay for being wrong.

If there happens to be some two head transgendered unicorn that is the supreme being and it deems that everyone who believed in the christian god will spend an eternity in an Indonesian sweatshop making wallets and listening to Barry Banilow all day long you sure will be sorry for being oh so wrong.

You know Caldwell praised God right after he won his NCAA title. Maybe the teachings of Jesus Christ were what gave Caldwell the energy to execute that awesome backflip?

BTW, I am not ripping the guys ability to wrestle. He obviously proved himself by winning an NCAA title, but he is delusional in believing in an omnipotent being and thus he probably hasn't gained any critical thinking skills that most people would think is gained by attending a university like Michigan State.

Nothing like using god to fill in those unanswered gaps. What about this for an answer. Franklin Gomez trained really hard and was in tip-top shape. He did all this and was inspired by a very old piece of fiction written by a bunch of men a long time ago that described a mystical omnipotent being which could see you at all times and knew everything, even your thoughts. Ok he is a great athlete who also happens to be delusional just like most everyone else in the USA.
