Hasanov had no answer for Taghavi's quickness, although he tried to catch him napping with quick restart midway through the 3rd!

I believe we have some dirt here in Taghavi's left-hand high-c at 4:16, 4:45, and 8:05 (not to mention his single at 9:18).

Didn't just beat hasanov he destroyed him. Taghavi is wrestling really well, hopefully he's mentally strong in london, if he is he'll win it.

doesn't stand a chance against Taghavi right now. Prime Kolat vs Taghavi...toss-up. Taghavi is in his prime now and he is bigger than Kolat was. Depends on rules as well.

I would of loved to seen Kolat there or have gotten the chance to wrestle Taghavi at some time. I think he has the best mentality, position, counter the snap downs and quickness to beat a guy like Taghavi. Frayer just didn't have much against Taghavi and Metcalf's push, push, push would not of worked. I have all the world cup duals on dvd and watched all the US, AZE, and IRI duals and just find that the match-up styles hurt us the most. Simmons style is a threat for international guys but he couldn't get passed Haze. Cejudo is probably the best shot we have at 55kg but just can't match-up against Simmons. I am looking forward to see what happens at the 60kg wrestle-offs.

Frayer wrestled pretty well against Taghavi during this tournament. Frayer just has no offense against quality opponents like Taghavi. You can watch the match on FILAwrestling.org

66 kg pool match between 2x World Champ Mehdi Taghavi of Iran & 2x World Bronze Medalist Yabrail Hasanov of Azerbaijan.

I don't know, just thought it was an awesome match between 2 potential Gold medalists in London this Summer. Also we're going over high crotches at Ascend and Taghavi is currently one of the best..
