Inspired by an All American collegiate wrestler & gymnast, Rock Gonzales was my Gymnastics instructor as an undergrad student in college, while 75% of my classmates were wrestlers as well. Through all the training Rick showed us we were shocked at how we all had "gym strength" yet would fatigue s quickly through all the gymnastics strength & conditioning drills Rick took us through.

His emphasis was on strength, as he said the ability to perform the basic gymnastics drills required strength AND regular practice.

the rings will build your entire upper body from the waist up and you will be extremely muscular and flexible, this will also give leg strength as you will acquire uni-lateral balance.

I used to do gymnastics, my favorite event was the rings, i was in 6th grade at the time and i had the shoulders that most 9th graders didnt have. the rings are the real deal for building up your shoulders and your entire body. not just doing dips like he was, but also doing real gymnastics skills on the rings will make you really strong, and more flexible. it will also cut down on injuries because you will build those muscles up in ways that you couldnt do on any other exercise machine
