Spenser Mango and Ellis Coleman get after it during the Beat the Streets Gala in New York City. Nasty throw after nasty throw on board the USS Intrepid.

just to give my thought i think they are just doing a exhibition, for fun, thats why its called a display, theres an announcer, they are playing music in the background and they are on a battleship. either way it is still dirty |

dude idk. this very well could be real but even like when the announcer says " ellis w/ the bodylock!! " its was like he knew he was gonna just launch him. and iv never seen this dude spenser get tossed like that. and he just fell over when ellis supermand him. idk. the more i watch it the more it seems played out.Dude because if you get a bodylock and you cant finish it you must suck. a bodylock is one of the best positions you can get in wrestling. |

Hahaha I don't think a guy who went to the olympics would fake a move. |

I wouldn't go so far as to say this was staged...what it appears is that the athletes knew what they were there for - an exhibition to raise funds and increase the support and popularity for wrestling. They went out there completely cut loose and flowed with all the techniques If you watch the Herbert/Pendleton match it was very similar - ego aside, no fear, attempt techniques. What's the heartburn all about??? |

Russian Nationals is also staged....And Satiev & Kudukov set up all the details before winning National, World & Olympic Titles!!! Of course to boost ticket sales!!! I also heard Andrew Howe is going to forgo the trials quit college and go to WWE!!!! Seriously, they may have took alot of risk because no big title was on the line, but the wrestling was 100% real. Im sure the grimaces on their faces was from pain not acting. They both wanted to win. |

Did you watch any other matches from the event? none of them looked staged. mango and coleman werent trying their hardest, but who can blame them. it was at a charity for crying out loud. this wasnt the US open or the olympics, obviously, but they definitely didnt plan it out. if they did, the metcalf jenkins match wouldnt have been as boring as it wasthat's what my thoughts are. why stage this one match? but the guy a few posts below me has a point too, i've never seen so much picture perfect technique on two outstanding wrestlers. even if it was staged, it was exciting to watch, which is what draws crowds. |

It was staged, I was at the event and I saw all the matchs. I got to talk to both of them after their match and they both said they let each other hit throws...so get over it, it was staged but was one of the most entertaining matchs I've ever seen |

staged? come on...
