When asked the importance of technique, Doug Schwab could not stress enough positioning. He feels that positioning is extremely important and played a huge role in the success he has had as a wrestler.

i like how humble a wrestler of that statuere(dont know if thats spelt right, so in other words of great abilitly) is. no cockyness, humility gets you far.

You're right. He sounds just like Metcalf with all the halting, repeating little phrases, etc. Gable isn't exactly the most articulate guy, but the one they're really copying is Tom Brands, who is second only to GW Bush in his ability to mangle an English sentence. Still, I doubt most wrestling fans care what these guys sound like as long as they have what it takes on the mat.

no. they are fluent in english.

they just are not fluid (ie smooth) in their speech.

great advice. Has anyone noticed from Gable on down that the iowa guys have this halting type speech? Repeat words. Not very fluid speakers. again good advice
