first of all kids do wrestle all year long in florida and believe it or not Grajales would have won 4 state title any where he went he was the best wrestler in the country. he pinned a 3x state champion in Dapper Dan and you still don't respect him you guy are insane. And what is this thing about overall we are not a good wrestling state. when we send our best against any other states best we have a good chance of winning even if it is against Iowa or ohio it doesn't matter on the national level we show up.

Florida unfortunantly does not have any college or university level wresltling. This is why we must go out of state to follow our passion. If we had colleges and universities with wrestling programs I guarantee you that we would be one of the high dominating states in wrestling, not only at the high school level but eventualy at the university level. High school grads would love to come wrestle for Florida specialy because of the weather, forget your snow!

Don't be arrogant...I know it is tough being an idiot yankee...but don't talk trash...many states have tried to beat Brandon, so far it is just South Dade. Show up on the mat...and wrestle...shut your mouth until you last in the circle. Maybe our programs are newer. Come down here and help build the sport so we can build a USA team that will rule tail in International competition. New Jersey, Iowa, Florida, Missouri, Indiana, New York, Oklahoma, California, Georgia, Carolinas...etc.. we all represent this country. I wrestled for the Corps....you gonna talk trash about us. I know...our state doesnt compare to jersey, but we have a few guys who can maybe place. Grajales would be a state champ in jersey and cozart maybe could place. Thats 2 good guys we really have.

Gomez, NCAA 133 champ is from Brandon HS in Fl. Same as Grajales. Maybe Fl is catching up. Have enough kids, just need to get em wrestling. Then we will dominate just like in football.

Brandon will have 6 state champs and a handful of placers on their team next year. with 10 or 11 guys who have won or placed in state I hope they get out of state to a Big tny like the Ironman. Sad thing is with budget cuts it probably won't happen. Would be nice to see how they would do againts nations better teams.
