i would have loved to see Laney and Patton wrestle. They have very similar bodies and are very technical for 215lbers. From the newspaper, i know Patton was offered several D1 scholarships (i.e. UTC) and i am sure laney will be offered as well.

he did not get to wrestle because he tore two ligaments completely in his ankle while out on a trainning run 2 1/2 weeks before the state tourney. he ended up 40-0 on the season and beat the guy who did win state twice during the year. 7-0 nothing the first time and pinned him the second time.

Laney won GA state with 46-0 (44 pins, 1 tech). defeated ga 5-A 215 state chapion, 4-A 215 state champion, 3-A 189 & 2-A 171 state champions last year, defeated TN Div I state champion this year by pin.

Your kid in not gonna get rank until he accomplish something. Yeah he beat Wiggins in overtime this year. I'am sure he probably a pretty good kid. Thats not going to cut it. Once he place at national tournaments than he will be up there.

josh patton beat max ofori from cleveland in Dec. of 08 and as already said, max ofori beat willie wiggins earlier this year. Patton also beat Blake Herrin in the finals of the Bradley Central Tournament in Dec. of 08
