I have just started using this site. It seems pretty cool, and I want to writre a weekly Blog so my friends and former wrestlers can follow our season. I coach football at Plymouth too, so I will start when the wrestling season gets underway. Our football team is looking to win their 4th state championship in a row. Should be a good way to end the fall season and jump into wrestling, a lot of our wrestlers play football too. Take care Austin more »

Some People Just Don't Understand

Last night I had class and the professor asked me about our Motivational 24 workout since I had mentioned it the week before in class. Upon mentioning it, one of the girls in my class said, "I think that is stupid." After calming my nerves and ignoring my initial reaction to dropkick her in the face, I responded to her statement. The following is not verbatim, but it is my overall feelings in regards to our workout. First, M24 is truly a blessing. That may sound extreme, but it is my belief that we should be grateful that we are… more »

Do You REALLY Take the Extra Steps?

Zach Evenesh | Profile
October 27, 2008

So many wrestlers believe they train harder than the competition. And some of them might be correct. But, are they training smarter than their competition? What about being able to do the extra things that will truly give you that unfair advantage over your competition? Almost everyone goes to a wrestling club. So do you. Almost everyone goes out running. So do you. Almost everyone lifts. So do you, at the high school weight room where everyone is screwing around and doing the WRONG thing. Do you find ways to train smarter and better than the competition? There are too… more »

Did CSS testing today

Counter Strike source, as many of you already know, is a tri-sequel FPS game to the Counter strike franchise. Source, which is based on Steams 'Source engine' was one of the most highly anticipated games in 2004 when it was released. When counter strike released, it was obvious that the game would be the benchmark for all other FPS type games in the future. The engine used to power Counter Strike Source is the same engine used to power Half Life:2, so naturally there are some very similar characteristics in gameplay. The modes of CSS are the exact same as… more »

08-09 Season

Phil Dorman | Profile
October 26, 2008

Well, we are a week away from starting practice and beginning the 08-09 season. Last season did not end the way we had hoped for but did end with 2 state champions, Tyler St. Louis, winning his 3rd title, and Collin Wittmeyer getting his first. There is excitement entering this season, as we get Joe Pace, a state champion in 07, and Joey McLain, a qualifier in 07, back to strengthen our lineup. The goal is still to win a state championship and we feel we have the core to do so. We have to work hard, stay healthy, and… more »

High School Season draws near

cfeist | Profile
October 25, 2008

November 17th will be here in a blink. HS Football season is winding down and playoffs are about to start. This is my favorite time of the year. With leaves falling under a crisp October sun, pre season sprint and distance workouts are optimal. With next Tuesday bringing the last Bear Claw Club team practice of the fall sessions, I realize that it time to switch focus back to Tahoma High Wrestling. Though several of our best high school wrestlers are also on the community club team, the dynamics of our high school team is special and i need to focus… more »

COD5 Beta is coming soon

Call of Duty 5 will be out soon, November 11th to be exact. The beta has already started for the Xbox360, I think the PC beta will begin tomorrow. If you are on PC you can still get a beta spot by either going to callofduty.com and registering or by pre-ordering a copy of the game from gamestop.com. I went ahead and pre-ordered a copy from gamestop last week because I didn't know you could simply signup at the forums for a free key. I'm actually thinking about canceling my order now. I would like to buy through Steam if… more »

How to Build a Chgampionship Program

WWSPORT_COM | Profile
October 17, 2008

So often we see wrestling programs being directed by great wrestlers who have little or no coaching experience. Some adapt quickly and turn struggling programs around. Some take years to adjust to find success. As you know, running a program isn’t just about teaching double-legs and half-nelsons. There is a plethora of responsibilities that are integral parts of the building blocks of a championship program. The fact is, there has never been a tool available to coaches that breaks down and assists the necessary steps to take in developing a top-level program. Two-time National Coach of the Year, Dave Mills… more »

Friday nights reek of potential, because a lot of things can happen, some good some bad. That's the beauty of Friday nights, and one of the main reasons we as a nation have decided to keep having them. On any given Friday I have the opportunity to work up my courage to talk to a fine young lady or even a not so fine and not so young lady depending on the quality and quantity of available young lady's. I might decide to just walk up to her and say, "Hi, can I buy you a drink and kiss your… more »

Anyone tried the new COD?

Barry Walkors | Profile
October 14, 2008

So has anyone seen the COD5 game play trailer? I'm not sure what to think to be honest. I mean of course I'm looking forward to seeing and playing the new Call Of Duty, but because COD4 was such a massive success I feel like it's going to be hard for them to 1up it. Not only that, but a different developer is going to be developing COD5, or has developed I guess would be the correct term since it's coming out in less than a month. I have a feeling that the gameplay everyone has gotten used to in… more »

Our maple tree out front is dropping it's leaves everyday now. The weatherman says tomorrow will be cooler with a front originating out of Fargo. There are 130 days until Districts. Sounds like alot, i know better. Everyone needs to be on board for this voyage to be successful. There are some very determined adversaries in our path. I wouldn't have it any other way though. Our spirits are defined in the fire of battle, purified through the anvil of knowledge. Champions are born from within, let not your hammer fail.
