What makes me mad is that I am now stationed in North Carolina and from what is readily apparent is that wrestling is often times overshadowed by basketball. My family got back into town last night. Today is a lot of unpacking and a week of working around the house. If you haven't heard, i have taken on the responsibility of being the new cross country coach at RHS...and with that I strongly suggest that all wrestlers who wish to be on the varsity wrestling team should get their physical and proper paperwork turned in so they can join the cross country team. The goal this year is to establish a hybrid league that looks like a tournament but wrestled as a daul meet. Wrestlers are ranked by skill level, weight, gender and age. Each week they wrestle in pools of 3 or 4 for 8 weeks. Then the season ends with a league tournament and finally an open tournament. Pros and Cons? more »

Today I climbed COG hill. COG hill is an old train track that leads up a mountain next to pikes peak. It took rail cars up this very very steep hill. It is a mile in length and it starts at an elevation of 6,000 feet and ends at 8,500.
