Not to long ago, I was approached by a young man in New Jersey. His name is Josh Liebman. He was instrumental in organizing a fundraising dual meet for former Blair Academy/ current Cornell University wrestler, Adam Frey. The dual meet, hosted by Rider University, brought in $15,000. Last night Dave Mills and I were lucky enough to be guest coaches at the Team Michigan/USA vs. Russia "Battle of the Xtreme" hosted by Michigan Xtreme. I'm happy to report that we are having great results with our off season wrestlers and their muscular gains by staggering lifting times with conditioning. Late morning workouts and evening conditioning sessions are keeping my guys in good cardiovascular condition while stacking on some impressive muscle. After timing them in 40 and 60 yard sprints today i can report that 1-2 tenths are the average increase in speed as well. Most of our athletes play football off season so timing them is pretty standard and helpful in maintaining explosive data. By lifting early and conditoning at night they are fresh… more »

As the summer progresses, efforts to ready the Wyoming Seminary wrestling team for the 2009-2010 season continue. We have added a talented, ambitious young assistant coach by the name of Andy Lacroix to our staff, return seven national prep placewinners and welcome an amazing group of talented, young newcomers. Seminary's 09-10 squad will be tested early and often while competing in one of the most competitive schedules in the nation.
