After the Northeaster Dual the Redwolves battled the Eastern Guilford squad.
their efforts were not enough as the red wolves lost 55-21.

Alex Wicker Pinned his opponent.
Derek Stein Pinned his opponent
Matt Evans Won a forfeit.

A few thoughts about the make up of our team.
and last nights performance:

103: open till december 7
112: Andrew Daniel: Sophmore we expect him to wrestle competitive. He stood up five times last night and got driven out of the circle and had to re set without getting any points. wrestle to the center of the circle.

112: Matt Rose: Freshman Got pinned in :40 Was outmatched

119 Zach Wickes: Sophmore: He is giving up almost 7 lbs to wrestle at 19
Lost 10-11, clasping issues. Good technical wrestler high expectations.

125 Eric Coleman: freshman, no wrestling experiance. Good effort. Needs to learn more technique.

125 Jordan Talbert Sophmore was pinned in 2:59

130: Derek Stein: Freshman ..stepped up and got a stick

135: Matt Evans 11th grade never wrestled before 1-1 on the night

140: Adam Dodson senior won his match 7-0, first day wrestling back from fotball.

145 Alex Wicker: Senior stepped up and made a pin in quick time..

152 Alex Walker: Sophmore Took a beat from a high quality opponent.

160: Raheem Surles: freshman- quick agile kid, high energy, needs to sharpen his tech. Pinned a kid and lost 19-10. Not bad for first dual of the year.

171 Shawn Wheland Sophmore: first time wrestler, first day back from football.

189: Marquise Roy: Junior, first day back from football, he will be better.

215: Steve Carr Sophmore, Never wrestled before and went out and won the first match of his life with a power half to a pin..Lost his second match

285 Joey Berry: Freshman: Was pinned..has to stay on his feet. ball up if you sit out.

We have five freshman on a varsity squad

1 junior and 2 sophomore's who have never wrestled.
3 of our varsity guys it was their first day back from football, so they had not attended one practice.

Like the Zen Master says, we learn much more from our failure and comming short than our triumphs. We learned alot last night.
