Levi Clemons became a national champion in Greco Roman in the Cadet 171 lb division and Gabriel Bird captured 3rd place in the Freestyle Junior 145 lb division this past week at the USA Wrestling Cadet/Junior/Women's National Championships in Fargo, ND.
Other Kowboys with strong performances were Alex Eggers at Jr. 152 (5-2 in Greco, 1 pt from placing and 3-2 in Freestyle); Pete Baldwin at Cadet 130 lbs (4-2 in both styles and missing placement by 2 pts total); Niko Brown at Jr. 171 lbs (4-2 in both styles); Kia Henderson (Women's 220 lbs) and Katie Crouch (Women's 165 lbs) each finished 2nd;
We are obviously very proud of Levi and Gabe, just as we are all of our guys for putting in the time and effort they did this spring/summer! It's all paying off and it's starting to show on the mats!
