Dinners Provided In Flights And How It's Helpful For Your Flight
Do many people like food served on flights? We don't think so. However when boarding a long haul journey plane, you have to accept the food that is served on the plane and accept it as you own food may not last for the entire journey. The airline caterer are usually five star hotel chefs and the food is made after keeping in mind the type of people boarding the plane. What we mean is if the journey is within Asia, the passengers will be mostly Asian, of the flight is within America, the passengers will be mostly American with their style of food liking. Let us see what kind of breakfast and lunches are served in airplanes when on long haul and short haul journeys.
Breakfast- Breakfast is served with a lot of caution as many people do not eat certain things early in the morning. Some Asian people do not have meat in the morning and prefer a full vegetarian breakfast which would consist of fruits, fruit juices, bread butter jam, cheeses and raw vegetables like cucumber and carrot, etc.
Breakfast may be continental style with eggs, pancakes, sausages, muffins, fruits, breakfast cereal and juices. In Asian countries tea is served with the breakfast and in European countries coffee is given preference.
Children may get hot chocolate or milk. This could be an ideal breakfast served in British airways, Swiss Air, Cathay Pacific, Singapore airlines, etc.
Lunch- Lunch is a meal which is usually served on long haul trips. Lunches can tend to be heavy again will be as per the origin and destination of the trip.
The economy class meal would include rice, beef or mutton with sauce, noodles when traveling in Asia, spaghetti, meat balls and many more dishes.
Extra salt and pepper is given along with the food as some people might find it bland. Lunches are usually heavy and a complete diet. Continental lunch would include steamed fish and or a fish salad, grilled mushrooms with white sauce. You can choose the type of bread you want with your food.
Everybody convenience and an average tasting food is prepared. The food is usually of the frozen style which is heated before the plane leaves the origin airport. Not much of cooking in done on board. The beverages served are alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic. Wine, beer, Whiskey, Rum, and Vodka, all or some may be available on selected air-flights. Again if you are a business class or first class traveler, then the quality of beverages served will differ. Non alcoholic drinks served on flights would include most of the aerated drinks as well as juices. Canned fresh fruit juices are a favorite among children and adults.
