Krasnoyarsk, Russia

So it's been a few days since I last wrote but it's been pretty busy over here. On the 17th I left Vladimavkaz and flew to Moscow to meet up with the US team. At midnight we left Moscow on an overnight flight to Krasnoyarsk. This is a very hard flight because it is about 5 hours long and there is a 4 hour time change. So rich now I am 12 time zones away from my home in Michigan. The first day we were here we had a light drill. I went with Mocco but he wasn't allowed to go hard because of my hip. The next day I meet with the doctor and he shot some pain medicine into my hip. I tried drilling and sparring with Keith Gavin but my hip was still to sore. I guess the numbing affects of the shot didn't get deep enough into my side. So Zeke and I came up with a plan to take today off and then try and see if I can wrestle tomorrow. I am not very optimistic just because I know my body and right now it just doesn't feel right. Tomorrow morning at 7 I have an interview at a local news station. This will be the 3rd tv interview I will have done since getting here. Two days before I left Vladikavkaz the club had some kind of media day promoting their wrestlers at the up coming tournament. Once it was know that I was training there the newspapers and tv crews wanted to know why I wanted to train there. Well I have a big day tomorrow starting at 7am and it is my birthday.

I can relate...Been to Krasnoyarsk and the five hour flight plus time change is tough. It took me about a week to adjust. There is a decent Italian restaurant not too far from the Krasnoyarsk Hotel.
