Novelty vs. Buracracy
August 16, 2008
Yeah so It was a great day being a tourist. Now I get a day pass. I already figured this one out with Larry. Someone told Larry who told me and so yeah it's a done deal. NOT. Funny deal. Mexico keeping an agreement. Yeah so they still bother lying to larry and saying I was on but got bumped off at the last minute which was really polite of them. They could have told me the truth and said 'We actually don't care about you or how larry does' Yeah I don't give up. I got taught a few times but I'm just not good at learning. So I wait outside for an hour and a half waiting for Larry to try to figure it all out. I see ryan churella and help him find a cab while I'm waiting. Then I sit on a concrete block outside the village and I'm pissed. I'm pissed at Mexico, I'm pissed at Larry, and I'm pissed at China. I mean really, why do they have to have those squinty eyes and act like they don't know what I'm talking about. It's all a big tourist trap and it's lost it's novelty. The beautiful butteryflies, some great wall, this forbidden city they made just so I could see it. Cool China really cool. Two things I hate - and if you run an efficient business you will learn how to avoid these things - That is waiting and also wild goose chases. Chase bank sent me on one of those goose chases and I promised vengence on them. Larry gets outside and he can tell I am pissed. We actually find the workout facility (taekwondo mats) that we need though and we bargin them down to 70 Yaun for the hour, which it unfair to us because its $10 for half a mat space an hour in china. 30 Yaun would've been fair but the lady manager has been to boston and knows that $10 is ditily sqaut to us. We should have ignored Mexico and done this one all along. But It's ok because Mexico has a day pass for me tomorrow... or so they say... funny.
