I was supposed to get into the village. Plans don't always work out. I take the seven thirty shuttle to get there. I get up at six forty.
*Now let me be very clear about something. I get so little sleep compared to what I need that this is a workout in itself. I like to come on here and write so that people who are interested can read, but frankly it's for myself. I wrote about five single spaced journal pages a week on top of the blogs I wrote, on top of my homework and wrestling a week during the season. And suprisingly enough, this took me very little time. I write as fast as I read. But right now I am catching up - and it's late so I'm losing sleep. *
So I am exhausted but I am ready to go. I'm here for Larry and I want to make sure he gets the workouts he needs. In my opinion I am not here to watch anything just to improve Larry's chances and take some type of part in this olympics. I get to the village at 8:00 and then find out Mexico doesn't have a day pass for me. This is on top of information that Larry got last night. Larry was told that I had used condoms all over the room he called me last night while I was going out to dinner with Brian. Brian sent a text to someone that the hotel puts a complementry condom in the room, thinking it was funny. Mexico, as Brian has told me, tries to play some headgames. When I get to rejected for the daypass Larry calls me and tells me that I got bumped off the list at the last second for some track and feild guy that just showed up (this is what he was told). Brian? Brian says Mexico is trying to turn us against each other. Brian's guy, Giovanni, who's a big shot and has Muzio sponsoring him (6 figures) said he wouldn't compete unless Brian got in the village. They said they put him in as a coach but then he isn't on the list anymore, yeah well he never was. The Mexican team puts down politician type guys on the lists instead of coaches because they get a free ride and collect on money paid to coaches. Giovanni is also sponsered by a major Mexican television station so he goes on there and destroys them about all of this. Larry's coach is someone who really doesn't care if he wins or not, will not improve his performance, and took the spot to collect money. Larry has put down a lot of money on credit cards (about 30 K) to travel out to all the wrestling events in the past two years. None of which Mexico reimbursed him for. Mexico has been an impediment instead of a boost for him. I try to work out a workout situation with him but his coach inside has been insulted for not working with him and decided he should work with a forgein country at the competition venue. So I take a cab home and Brian convinces me I'm a tourist. I hate it but then I loosen up and well, I'll explain...
