No Shoes, Just Sandals
November 1, 2007
I have been traveling non stop since about well since it seems like a decade now. But really its been a year and a half. This latest trip started me in Austin took me through Norman and up to Stillwater. After that I went up to Mizzou and then back to Kansas City, Iowa City and then over to Chicago and up to University of Wisconsin and to Minnesota. That is when I did a clean 180 turn and went back to Chicago and then back up to Central Michigan and down to Ann Arbor. Now Im at Ohio State. I have to say when I left it was hot in Austin, so hot I couldnt sleep in my room which is just a garage. It was so hot I didnt even think about bringing shoes. I wouldnt need them because I would plan my workouts so I wouldnt need them.
It never crossed my mind that it would soon get cold. Overall things have been good though. Wisconsin Madison was the coldest place. I thought I was in trouble and would be bullied into going to a store and buying a pair of my favorite shoes (im very picky). Well Minnesota was actually warmer and Michigan turned out Beautiful. Yesterday when I was Trick or Treating with the Coach Ryan and Coach Heskett it was great! Perfect Sandal weather.
It was my biggest concern at this point will I be able to make it with just sandals back to Austin, but then I got a sweet gift from Ryan Churella (only one r) a new pair of shoes. Now I can go out in the wilderness without having to worry about my feet.
