What a blast. We took 8 wrestlers to the OHIO TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS this past weekend. Joe Accardo, Nick Accardo, Zack Swats, Mickey Endersbee, Johnathon Heffner, Jose Lopez, Trevor Dunn, and Dalton Langford. The tournament was held downtown in the convention center. We had over 2100 entries and the scrambling was fierce! Dalton Langford worked his way through the competition and brought home the championship. He won a watch for getting first place. That is a cool award-definitely different. Trevor Dunn took a tough 4th place finish. He wrestled through some tough competition from New York and Pa-both were seniors.

What was especially neat was the fact that we got to visit THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY campus, wrestling facility, and St. Johns Arena(got a special tour). We went to the OSU Spring Football Game for $5-it was packed out. The OSU Wrestling team led the football teams out of the tunnel before the game and I got to talk to Head Coach Tom Ryan at the Tournament of Champions. He was a very gracious and congratulated RHS on their back to back state championships, not once, but twice. Most of these kids have never been to a college campus and I think it had a huge impact on the kids. Awesome trip, awesome wrestling, awesome experiences...
