Over Spring Break, 4 wrestlers traveled to Reno Nevada for the Jack Roller Reno Wold Championships. Dalton Langford (95 lbs) made it to the semi-finals before taking a tough loss and he finished in 3rd place out of 86 competitors. Jose Lopez (135lbs) also made it to the semi-finals and he finished in 3rd place out of 74 wrestlers. Jackson Dodd (175 lbs) made it to the quarterfinals before he took is first loss, then had a tough draw in the wrestleback to finish one match from placing top 6. John Heffner (108 lbs) took a tough loss in the 1st round to the number 2 seed in the tournament, but he wrestled back for 7 straight wins before losing to another top placer in the tournament.

After the tournament, we spent the day at Mt. Rose Ski Resort and did a little skiing and snowboarding. It was the first time a couple of the kids had ever seen snow, let alone tried to ski! Needless to say, I was more impressed with they way they wrestled than their performance on the ski slopes!

Great tournament and experience. I am very impressed with the improvement and the competitiveness of the wrestler. Now on to OHIO for the Tournament of Champions on April 25th.
