Well I finally completed one of the "Bands/Bike" workouts. Took about 2 hours and whipped me pretty good. Weight is good, too. So far I am on track to make my goals for this month.
WAHI team inched past Ike (Yakima, WA). Some good results, some not so much. Had a good workout with the big guys yesterday and really started to see some action. I like how the team is shaping up.
We have Wenatchee this Saturday, and I have a 60' pine tree to split into firewood. Chopping wood is good training :)
Tonight I hit the Bands and the Bike again, in lieu of running. It's cold and I think the anarobic/bursty nature of this training is a little more relevant than piles of running. I'll hit some bigger miles this weekend (6.4 and a 5.1 I think). Nice long, fairly light jog is good for the fat burning. It's been the real winner for me in the last couple of years.
As a total side note...I read today that it snowed in Baghdad in the last day ro so. Wild. I hope it came as a nice change of pace for the locals and out service people stationed there. I bet it was a welcome distraction.
