Manny Rivera was from southern California and apparently fell short of his goals in high school after he lost in the state championship. He went on however to win Senior Nationals and got noticed by a lot of big schools including Minnesota. Manny decided to become a gopher and broke into the starting lineup by his sophomore year. In 2007 Manny Rivera was one match from placing. He enters his senior year with the goal of becoming a National Champion.
