Teyone Ware was one of the most talented and successful wrestlers ever to step on a mat in Collegiate wrestling. As a true freshman he came in and won an NCAA title. He repeated again his Junior year after coming back from an injury where coach Spates says he broke his neck? That is not to mention a severe ankle sprain later in the year. Despite his injuries Teyone didn't red shirt and persevered by coming back in December. He ended up taking 6th place at the tournament. Even with his All-American status he was sorely disappointed at missing an opportunity at becoming a 3 time NCAA Champion. His fourth and final year in 2006 he came second losing to Gallick in the finals.
Teyone Ware went back to Oklahoma University to complete his degree and is training to make the 2008 Olympic Team. s
