Mark Munoz grew up in a strict Filipino family. His first love was in football, but due to an ankle injury found a new passion in wrestling. As an unseeded entry he surprised the whole California state tournament when he won one of the most exciting matches to win state. He proved it was no fluke as he repeated his senior year with a record of 69-0.
Mark then went to Oklahoma State and more success followed. His senior year he prevailed again and became a National Champion and ended his collegiate career as a two time all American for the Cowboys. He continued to compete with great success on the world stage but decided to remain with his family and coach at Oklahoma State. Now an up and coming MMA fighter, he was recenly victorious at UFC 102.
