Interesting that Jenkins' only loss was to Metcalf and he was dominated in that match 9-2 in the second before being easily pinned. Palmer (like Schlatter) is going to be dangerous if he makes it to a match with Metcalf.

There are no locks on this tournament for an individual championship - except possibly Metcalf and Herbert. Palmer almost took Metcalf out last year - and there is a lot of talent at 149. Let the fun begin... a lot of potential great matches this year.

Shavrien got Gomez in the first round. Ouch. Hoehn wrestled Tsirtsis tough at Midlands so if they meet up it's gonna be a battle. Chandler's on a collision course with Jordan Leen again and their last match was insane. Nick Marable has a nice-looking draw. Fay and Lewnes are gonna be hard as hell to beat but he can do it. Howe really turned it on at the end of the season so that would be a good match in the finals.

Raymond Jordan won't have an easy match all tournament with Borschel and Luke in his way... Henderson will have it tough against Kirk Smith, and no matter what happens there Jake Herbert is waiting down the line. Max Askren can get to the semis if he wrestles tough but will have to step it up considerably against Varner. Ellis has a good shot at making the finals but will have to figure out Zabriske once and for all. I'd say 6 out of our 8 have a chance to do some serious damage, and a few have the potential to win it all.
Can't wait!
