Afsoon Johnston made history at the 1989 World Championships by becoming the first American to medal in women's freestyle wrestling. Today, she has a book about her improbable journey as an Iranian immigrant and a women's wrestling pioneer. 

Johnston is selling copies of "Afsoon" during the US Open in Las Vegas on Thursday, April 28. The venue is located inside the South Point Hotel Casino. 

"I have tremendous respect for Afsoon and the adversity she has overcome." wrestling icon Dan Gable said. "And I'm impressed by the positive impact she has made on so many people. Her story inspires me. It is a great American story."
