With every postseason starter in action and so much on the line, conference weekend had almost too many upsets to track. Check out the biggest upset stories of the weekend, then check out the list of every upset we could find. 5 Undefeated Wrestlers Go Down

As I mentioned in an earlier article, five undefeated wrestlers who were all in the running for this year's Hodge Trophy took losses this weekend, eliminating them from Hodge Trophy contention.

Four of those five matches were between wrestlers ranked #1 and #2, and only three of them were technically upsets as Gable Steveson was ranked ahead of Mason Parris.

The top-ranked, undefeated wrestlers who were upset were Nick Lee, who fell to #2 Luke Pletcher at 141, Vincenzo Joseph, who dropped a match to #2 Alex Marinelli at 165, and Michael Kemerer who lost to #2 Mark Hall at 174.

The other undefeated wrestler took the most surprising loss of the lot as #2 Jack Mueller fell to #15 Jakob Camacho of NC State in the ACC Finals. That result will probably put Mueller on the same side of the NCAA bracket as Spencer Lee, his opponent in last year's finals match.

5 #1-Ranked Wrestlers Take Losses

Half of the nation's #1-ranked wrestlers were upset this weekend. In addition to Lee, Joseph, and Kemerer mentioned above, Seth Gross and Sammy Sasso were also upset.

Sasso's loss came against Iowa's #2 Pat Lugo in the Big Ten finals. This was a rematch from a highly competitive bout between the two in the Ohio State vs Iowa dual. This meeting was just as close, coming down to the final second.

Gross' loss came to #3 Sebastian Rivera of Northwestern in the Big Ten semifinals. Gross and Rivera met in a wild one at Midlands where Gross got his hand raised. It was Rivera this time in another entertaining match that was tied late.

The big one here, Camacho over #2 Mueller, is in the section above, but 125 actually had six top-10 upsets. Pat McKee lost to both Brandon Meredith and Malik Heinselman, an indication that his injury may be impacting him significantly.

Both Cody Phippen and Christian Moody took out #10 Jacob Schwarm, and Joe Manchio pinned #5 Brandon Paetzell.

The other top-10 upset here happened at the Big 12 where Cam Sykora finally earned a win over #10 Montorie Bridges after losing in their first four meetings.

Other than Pletcher over Lee for the #1 spot, which I discussed above, the most interesting bit here is that #3 Max Murin lost to both Mitch McKee and Chad Red. He has held down the #3 spot since January 13 but will now have a lower seed at NCAAs.

The remaining top-10 upsets happened at the Big 12 Championships where #10 Ian Parker took out #7 Dom Demas and unranked Dylan Droegemueller beat #10 Michael Blockhus.

The story at this weight is Josh Humphreys who took out #9 Markus Hartman and #4 Quincy Monday. Humphreys has been considered by many to be an All-American contender, and he looked like one this weekend.

Eric Barone also returned to the version of himself Illinois fans expected in the preseason beating #8 Will Lewan and #6 Kaleb Young. Barone wasn't the only one to beat Young as unranked Peyton Robb also accomplished the feat for the first top-10 win of his career.

Shakur Rasheed beat #3 Jacob Warner on the front side at Big Tens before falling to Warner for third. Northwestern's Lucas Davison had a solid showing against #5 Christian Brunner of Purdue who wrestled his first matches this weekend since sustaining an injury in January.

The biggest upset of this weight came at EIWAs where unranked Drew Phipps of Bucknell beat #6 Pat Brucki in the semifinals. Brucki had defeated Phipps 4-2 earlier this season.

The upset for Andrews was one of three total upsets the Wyoming heavyweight pulled at the Big 12 Championships.
