Have you been counting the sleeps until the NCAA started? Well, sleep no more! Wait, no actually, you can still sleep, perchance to dream even! But you need not bear the whips and scorns of time, your NCAA week one preview is here! Onward we go, to undiscovered country!

And by 'undiscovered country' I mean to the cool college dual meets and wrestling tournaments that are happening this weekend, and not to, you know, death.

All times Eastern (the greatest zone of all the times).

FloWrestling Master NCAA Schedule

Thursday, November 1

Northern Colorado at West Virginia

Buffalo at Wisconsin

By the time you read this, these duals will be over, and I am not writing a preview for an event that already happened. I won't do it. Click on the links for full event coverage, though!

Friday, November 2

Gardner-Webb at Clarion, 7:00 PM: Before hosting a tournament, Clarion hosts the Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb.

George Mason at VMI, 7:30 PM: I'm sorry that it's like this VMI. I am still a fan of the Runnin Roos, you can believe it.

Saturday, November 3

Clarion Open: Bloomsburg, Clarion, Cleveland State, Gardner-Webb, Kent State, Lock Haven and Pittsburgh start their season in Central, PA. Our guy Tim Rice is going to be onsite keeping things buttoned up and locked down for you, LIVE ON FLO

Michigan State Open: Eight school head to East Lansing for a tough tournament hosted by Sparty.

Cyclone Open: AKA the Harold Nichols Open, held in Ames, Iowa, home of the Iowa State Cyclones.

Cowboy Open: Air Force travels north to Laramie, Wyoming to kick things off with the Cowboys and many others. Our man David Bray is going to bring you all the action from his hometown, LIVE ON FLO.

Fresno State at #14 Rutgers, 11:30 AM: The Bulldogs will travel from the central valley of California to the banks of the Raritan River for a quad with Rutgers. The other schools in that quad? Why, none other than Johnson and Wales (the University, not the makers of the shampoo) and Centenary (their motto: Remember Me For Centernaries!). Both JWU and Centenary compete in the NCAA at the DIII level.

What weight will Nick Suriano go? How will Anthony Ashnault look up at 149-pounds and after a year of convalescence? Find out the answers to these questions and many more by watching the quad, LIVE ON FLO

Indiana at Virginia, 12:00 PM: Hoosier on Wahoo crime! Potential Ranked matchups include:

125: #19 Elijah Oliver, Indiana vs #8 Louie Hayes, UVA

141: #12 Cole Weaver, Indiana vs #19 Samuel Krivus, UVA

#8 Missouri at #17 Illinois, 1:30 PM: The Show-Me State heads to the Land of Lincoln. Potential Ranked matchups include:

133: #10 John Erneste, Mizzou vs #12 Dylan Duncan, Illinois

141: #3 Jaydin Eierman, Mizzou vs #10 Michael Carr, Illinois

184: #14 Canten Marriott, Mizzou vs #2 Emery Parker, Illinois

#2 Ohio State vs. Navy, 7:00 PM: Our own wrestling Nomad will return to his ancestral homeland of Maryland to call the matches held in McDonogh High School LIVE ON FLO

Not only did Buckeye national champion Myles Martin compete at McDonogh, but so did Nomad! Only Martin graduated from McDonogh, however. Does that mean Nomad never graduated high school? Perhaps. Who can say for sure? I know I've never seen a diploma. Potential Ranked matchups include:

149: #2 Micah Jordan, tOSU vs #19 Jared Prince, Navy

Sunday, November 4

Princeton Open: Held inside historic Jadwin Gym. The outside of Jadwin Gym looks a lot like a carapace. Do you know what a carapace is? If you don't, google it, then, not you will not only know what a carapace is, but you will also know what the outside of Jadwin Gym looks like. A two for one!

Hokie Open: Held in Blacksburg, located in the state of Virginia and just below the base of the Shenandoah Valley, which is the place John Denver sang about in a song that was supposedly about the state of West Virginia, in which the Shenandoah Valley is not.

Daktronics Open: It took me waaaaaaaay too long to realize that the 'Dak' in 'Daktronics' was short for 'Dakota.' But I still figured it out eventually, because I am a clever detective like Encyclopedia Brown. Minnesota, Nebraska, the hosts South Dakota State, and many more will grapple in Brookings. Will this be Gable Steveson's college debut? Probably. Can you watch it LIVE ON FLO? Yes! Yes you can!

#16 Northwestern at North Dakota State, 1:00 PM: The Wildcats will be in Fargo for a brawl with the Buyzen. What's the difference between a buffalo and a bison? No one knows. No one will ever know. But you will know what happens in this dual meet if you watch it LIVE ON FLO. Potential Ranked matchups include:

133: #15 Colin Valdiviez, NW vs #20 Cameron Sykora, NDSU

Want to know what happened in these dual meets? I can't tell you what will happen in the future, but you can do the next best thing, which is to leave this web page open until late Sunday evening (really, please, do not close this window, our internal metrics depend on it!), and then smash this link right here for all the box scores. It's kinda like time traveling but is more accurately referred to as just waiting for something to be over.

Thanks for reading friends. I am so happy the college wrestling is back and you are here to enjoy it with me!
